Counseling Approach

Bryn approaches counseling through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT. This approach incorporates mindfulness and helps clients make room for difficult thoughts and emotions while taking meaningful steps toward the life and relationships they want.

Bryn meets clients where they are and helps them examine old narratives, reconnect with their values, and make both internal and external changes without judgment or pressure to become someone they are not.

The process of finding someone that you trust to work with you in some of your most tender moments can be incredibly intimidating. I would be honored to talk with you and see if we would be a good match in your process of healing. I approach sessions from an ACT lens (acceptance and commitment therapy) which incorporates mindfulness to address both the internal and external changes we seek to make. I meet clients where they are and empower them to work through old narratives. I truly believe everyone is capable of profound healing, and therapy can be that transformative process. My areas of focus include clients with a history of sexual trauma, the LGBT+ population, the sex worker community, and people in open or poly relationships. I work with clients individually or as couples, and am licensed in both California and Louisiana.
