Retreat information

Every clinician draws from an invisible well.

Every therapy session, crisis intervention, supervision meeting, consultation, difficult conversation, and ethical decision requires us to lower our bucket into that well. Over time, the demands of the profession can drain it. Many clinicians are taught how to keep giving, but few are taught how to protect, replenish, and sustain the source from which they give.

Back to the Well was created for clinicians who recognize that sustainable care begins with caring for themselves. More than a continuing education event, Back to the Well is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with your purpose, deepen your professional practice, and return home renewed.

Return to what sustains you.

Because the most important tool you bring to your work is you.

More Than a Continuing Education Conference

A Back to the WELL retreat is a thoughtfully curated experience that brings professional learning and personal restoration into the same space.

Continuing Education With Purpose

Earn NBCC and ASWB continuing education credit through evidence-informed training that supports ethical practice, clinical effectiveness, cultural responsiveness, and professional longevity.

Wellness Beyond Surface-Level Self-Care

Explore practical and sustainable approaches to burnout prevention, boundaries, resilience, joy, rest, and well-being in the helping professions.

Culture and Community

Learn from the communities and cultures of the places we enter while building meaningful relationships with helping professionals from different backgrounds.

Space to Breathe

Training takes place during half-day sessions. The remainder of the day gives you space to rest, reflect, explore, connect with others, or spend time however you choose.

An Experience Designed With You in Mind

Back to the WELL intentionally creates access to restorative professional experiences for mental health providers who may not always feel represented in traditional training spaces or who may not typically have opportunities to combine learning, travel, rest, and community.

Each five-day experience combines four half-days of meaningful professional education with intentional rest, cultural exploration, and connection.

One free day in the middle of the retreat gives you space to experience the destination, join a group excursion, or choose what restoration looks like for you.
