This retreat is designed for mental health professionals seeking high-quality continuing education in a restorative, culturally grounded environment. Licensed counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and other behavioral health professionals are welcome. Students and provisionally licensed clinicians may attend if continuing education credits apply to their credentialing needs.

Your registration fee includes:

  • 28 Continuing Education (CE) credits, including hours that meet NBCC and ASWB requirements for:
    • Ethics
    • Supervision
    • Diagnosis
    • Multicultural competency
  • Professional headshots
  • Round-trip transportation to and from the airport and all scheduled group events
  • Lunches and snacks on retreat training days
  • Opening group dinner (optional)

  • Digital access to all training materials, handouts, and worksheets to support integration into your clinical practice

  • Yes. The retreat offers 28 approved CE credits that meet ethics, supervision, diagnosis, and multicultural requirements set by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB).
  • Credits are issued for live, in-person participation. Participants are responsible for confirming state-specific licensure requirements.
  • Turning Point Counseling has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7138. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Turning Point Counseling is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
  • Turning Point Counseling, provider # 2537, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 10/24/2025– 10/24/2026. Social workers completing this course receive 28 continuing education credits.

CE certificates will be provided digitally following completion of the retreat and submission of required evaluations.

  • All retreat sessions and group activities will be held at South Point Hotel in Christ Church, Barbados.
  • Once your deposit is submitted, you will receive booking instructions to reserve your room at the retreat hotel.
  • Room rates are per night and subject to availability, but range from $200-$400/ night based on room type.

Yes. A valid passport is required for international travel. It is recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

The retreat agenda will be distributed closer to the date to those who have paid their deposits.

Retreat days will be 6 hours long, but times may vary day by day, and are designed to balance learning with rest and restoration.

Yes. You are welcome to bring guests to enjoy Barbados with you. However:

  • Retreat sessions, meals, and excursions are only for registered participants
  • Guests should be comfortable entertaining themselves while you are in training sessions
